Los Angeles is a concrete jungle, and on occasion its citizens choose to show their animalistic nature, in fashion. Fact, humans are animals.  As far as intellect goes, we reign supreme.  But as far as pure beauty, we cant hold a candle to some of nature’s most beautiful wild animals.    Of course, being human, we choose to adorn ourselves with the likeness of any animal that we find beautiful.

Our admiration of wild animals has created a staple amongst fashion cliques.  Animal prints have been a staple in fashion since man learned how to skin a hide.  Now days a nice print woven into a cool fabric blend is preferred over actual animal hide, but what is our fascination with animal prints?  What is it about the human psyche that compels us to look like wild animals?

I think that deep down; we want to connect with our inner animal.  We want our exterior to coincide, with our inner self.  If a woman is feeling sleek and catlike, she might choose a nice leopard print.  Animal prints are the perfect guise for that night when she is out on the prowl.

Animal prints separate you from the crowd.  In a room full of black dresses, the occasional bold and daring animal fashion will be sure to be noticed.  People that wear animal prints are not trying to avoid attention; they are not trying to blend in with the crowd.  People that wear the beautiful garb of the wild are out to be noticed!  If you see a woman sporting a tight, sleek, tiger print dress, it’s a safe bet she wanted you to notice her.

Knowing what outfits are inviting conversation can be a considerable advantage in the realm of socialization.  When a man approaches a woman, he is looking for any sign that may tell him that it is safe to initiate social contact.  Well how about this, 72% of women that wear an animal print to a social situation are single and/or willing to be approached.  So for all you men out there, you see the beautiful tigress at the bar, make your move!  Odds are in your favor here fellas, by a 3-1 margin.

Men, if your lady has pulled the tight leopard print dress from the closet, she is telling you to notice her.  That’s her “single dress”, the one that everyone noticed her in before she met you, or maybe even the dress that turned your head when you first got together.  In any case, the decision to sport the dress may or may not be a conscious one on her part, but in any case, it’s time to pay attention to her.

Ladies, if you are going to rock the bold dress when you go out, go all the way with it.  Don’t put on a bold dress, and wear boring makeup with a drab hairstyle.  Be as bold with your look as the animal you are representing.  Put on the lashes, get those eyes to pop and be fierce!  Animals are known for their beautiful coats and their eyes, make sure your eyes are playing the role along with your clothes!

Roam this concrete jungle like you own it!  Cross the street and make all the other animals stare at every stride you take!  You are an animal!  And you should be proud of it!
